AASHTO Awards
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Awards Competition is an opportunity to recognize colleagues and peers who are achieving great things in the transportation field. Each year AASHTO honors individuals and transportation departments for their contributions to the transportation community through a series of awards.
Award Criteria and Nomination Forms

- Alfred E. Johnson Achievement Award – Now accepting nominations until June 26.
- Thomas H. MacDonald Memorial Award – Now accepting nominations until June 26.
- President’s Transportation Awards – Now accepting nominations until June 26.
- Francis B. Francois Award – Now accepting nominations until June 26.
- 25-Year Award of Meritorious Service – Information for the Memorial List and the Employees Killed in the Line of Duty is included with the 25-Year Award of Meritorious Service
- AASHTO’s America’s Transportation Award – Please also be sure to visit the website to see more examples of the great work state DOTs are doing every day! *All state department of transportation entries must be completely submitted to AASHTO by April 29 to be considered in both the regional competition and the Top 12 finals.*
